Emergency Action Plan. What is it and why does it pertain to you? I'm going to tell you about it.

I want to talk about an emergency action plan or an EAP. A lot of people don't necessarily know what this is.

People in the industrial world that works with OSHA, they might have heard of an emergency action plan. Basically, the definition is a document that defines emergencies that may occur in the workplace and how to address them. Well, I want to take that away from the workplace for a second

and kind of think of it as what you would do personally in the event of an emergency. As we all know,

these motocross tracks aren't right next door to hospitals under most circumstances. And so you have

to kind of plan ahead almost. I know it's kind of morbid and dire to think about,

but the best circumstances are ones that are properly prepared for. Okay. So I'm going to give

you a couple of ideas on what's your personal emergency action plan and what would that be

in the event of that emergency. I would remember a couple of things, okay? In the light of personal health care in 2022,

there's two phrases that come to mind, okay?

Number one, no one is coming to save you.

A good friend of mine, Greg Anderson, once told me that

if you want to be prepared for something, you have to prepare for it.

So remember, no one is coming to save you.

Number two, it's better to have and not need than need and not have.

Okay, so if you've seen in one of my other videos, I kind of over-prepared with a lots of

tourniquets and a big med kit in my car and I carry it with me all the time.

I'd rather be prepared for stuff like that.

So that's why I recommend every rider and family to have some sort of emergency action plan
