Who to refer for VV ECMO?

How long to wait, what to do in the interim, how to make it happen, whether it's calling

your own folks at your shop if you're a major referral center or if you're in the community

or a smaller center, how to call another hospital for VV ECMO referral.

But really what you're going to take as the message stays, first of all, call earlier.

Don't wait until they're already at the entrance to the desk spiral.

And that maybe you shouldn't just be calling at the point for ECMO referral, maybe we

should start thinking about this as a paradigm for referral to respiratory failure centers.
