He is the blood bank guy. He does a podcast called Blood Bank Guy

essentials. I've been listening to it for topics relevant to EM and critical care for a long time now.

And what you will find, and you know this,

even though you've never met them.

And if my intuitions based on listening are correct,

then Joe is an awesome educator.

He is humble, he is humorous, and he has a mission

to teach Transfusion Medicine to everybody and I think he succeeds

at that mission. Joe is a pathologist, he is a specialist in Transfusion

Medicine, aka he is a blood banker.

He is currently in California, the CMO of the Life Stream Blood Center.

I've been asking for him to come on to the podcast

to talk a little bit about blood bank basics because I think people

misunderstand them. So we had a great conversation. During the same session
