Hey, Candice, welcome back to another episode of one-to-one nursing. How you doing? I'm doing well.

It's fall. I'm a happy man. Summer's finally dead. It was very cold yesterday morning. Okay, I think I finally shut off my air conditioning.

I wouldn't go as far as putting on the heat, but it's cold.

In the Northeast, there's three days where you don't need air conditioning or heat.

What we're going to be talking about is post-cardiac arrest care for the recess nurse.

Last time we did cardiac arrest, so it makes logical sense to go to post-cardiac arrest.

And I think this is an area where, at least from the hospitals I have experienced with,

the nurses are not given enough education

on how to take care of these patients. They're just thrown to the wolves and allowed to deal with.

Some hospitals might have protocols, and that's good because that will guide a lot of this stuff,

but I just don't think it's discussed to the extent it should be. And that's sad because these

are the sickest patients in the hospital in almost every

case. And we'll talk about reasons why. Candace, at your shop, they have post arrest protocols. Is that right?
