I went to a church and the guy met with me and he had his Bible open and he started reading scripture to me.

He didn't ask me any questions. He just started reading scripture that was, you know, it was thoroughly beating me to death.

But scripture, right? I mean, it was good.

And in that respect.

And so he went on for about 20 minutes and I said, excuse me. I said, tell me, does it, is there a

hole in that Bible where you put a wooden stick in it and then beat people over the head with it?

Where's the loving world? And he stopped. And I said, we can have a conversation, but this is not

where we start.

For the first time in history, the issue played a significant role in the 2024 presidential campaign.

And with Donald Trump's overwhelming victory, it seemed a national course correction was afoot.

Trump has issued a number of executive actions on the issue, including defining for federal government purposes, only two sexes,

banning federal funding for so-called gender transition for minors, and keeping men out of women's

sports and prohibiting trans-identifying people from military service.

Following the federal government's lead, we've seen the cascading effect down to local governments, universities, school districts, and organizations.

However, if your mom is anything like mine, she warned you when you went to the beach to watch out for the undercurrents.
