On Wednesday, my athletic soccer coworker, Paul Tenorioio and I reported that the NWSL has found

its 12th expansion team via the ownership group of Sacramento Republic FC.

The one big remaining question is if the team will start play in 2021 or 22.

Sources said 2021, but then according to others, there's still actually a chance that the league

and team could push back to 2022.

Either way, we're waiting on a big expansion draft with either two teams for the 2021 season or a big one for 2022.

But either way, plenty of change is on the way for the NWSL.
