I'm going to be. In the midst of Trump's four-month-longed-government-long coup attempt against the democratically elected government

of Maduro in Venezuela, an amazing set of events took place at the embassy in Washington, D.C.,

where coup leader Juan Wido was incubated.

On April 10th, activists making up the Embassy Protection Collective began

living at the embassy with the request and permission of the Maduro government to protect

it from being taken over by Venezuela's right-wing opposition. One of the people who was there

was a journalist named Anya Perampal. She's my former producer for my RT show,

breaking the set,

former host of the show in question at Russia today.

Just an all-around excellent journalist

who spent a month herself in Venezuela on the ground

and who's also a dear friend of mine.
