I wasn't a prodigy in any way but I was quite good, you know, as a kid.

I kind of felt I don't play basketball and I don't run very well but I do this pretty

well and as I kept going with it I kind of thought when I was 14 or 15 I thought I would

really love to do this for a living.

You know this was a fantasy, this became a fantasy.

The fantasy was going on stage at for example Carnegie Hall and I was very lucky the fantasy

became a reality but I think it was kind of gradual.

There was not one day when I said this is it.

That's a manual axe.

His boyhood dream of one day playing in Carnegie Hall eventually led to his becoming one of the

most esteemed pianists in the world of classical music.

He's not only played in Carnegie but in just about every great hall in the world.

He's been a good friend for many years and he made time to be on the show even though

he was right in the middle of a tour of Europe.

Many this is great thank you for making time.

Well it's a little crazy.

I had some concerts in Germany and I played Sunday and today I had a rehearsal in Munich

and then I got driven here because I have to do something with YoYo tomorrow and then

I'll go back to Munich and play some more concerts.

Anyway, how do you keep it all in your head?
