This is Emergency Medicine Cases, EM Quick Hits podcast, and I'm your host, Dr. Anton Hellman. EMCases is brought to you by Shremi, the Schwartz-Rizman Emergency Medicine Institute. That's a non-profit organization dedicated to improving EM care through high-quality research and education. The opinions expressed on this podcast are intended for general information and educational purposes only, and should not be used to diagnose treat or prevent any medical condition, nor should they be used as a substitute for medical advice from qualified practicing physician. 1:34.7

infectious disease specialists at University Health Network in Toronto. We've spoken together at a bunch

1:40.8

of conferences. I'm excited to say that he has agreed to be on the next EMCases

1:46.8

summit. He's a fantastic speaker. And I just have one question for him, and that is, what's the

1:52.4

latest on tick-borne illnesses? Uh, ticks. Everyone's favorite and least favorite topic. Favorite

1:58.9

because it's interesting, least favorite because

2:01.2

they're kind of a pain in the ass and they're spreading and they're gross and nobody wants

2:04.5

a tick bite. We're going to be geographically biased here. We're sitting in Toronto and this is going

2:11.6
