When it comes to transfusions and trauma patients, there's red cells, there's massive hemorrhage

protocols with red cells, there's platelets and plasma with one-to-one-to-one ratios of component

therapy and one-to-one-to ratios of component therapy and one to one to two

ratios. And then there's whole blood. Now, it kind of makes intuitive sense to me to simply

replace blood with blood, but of course, it's not so simple. Now, thankfully, there has been

quite robust literature on whole blood transfusion lately so as part of
