talking about venothrombal embolism recurrence in subsegmental PEs. What is the actual risk?

So we know that the overall mortality and case fatality rate for pulmonary embolism seems to be

decreasing over time. Yet we're reporting more and more P.E. suggesting that maybe we're over-diagnosing pulmonary embolism seems to be decreasing over time. Yet, we're reporting more and more

PE suggesting that maybe we're over-diagnosing pulmonary embolisms. Furthermore, management with

anticoagulation is not an entirely benign strategy and places a potential risk of bleeding upon

patients. Now, the management of subsegmental PE remains controversial and is

lacking supporting evidence to guide treatment. Some people believe anticoagulation is unnecessary in

subsegmental PEs and that these will lice automatically with little patient consequences. However,
