What can I even begin to say about today's guest that doesn't simply scratch the surface

of his iconic life and career?

So Elton John is one of pop culture's preeminent figures, a man whose voice, talent and kindness

has transcended time and space.

He's a mogul, a maverick, a music legend, and a multi-talented man who is one of the best

selling artists of all time who I'm very, very lucky to call my friend.

Last fall Elton released the lockdown sessions which featured artists such as Nicki Minaj,

Charlie Puth, Reena Sawayama, Lil Nas X, Yo Yo Ma, Stevie Nix, and yes, yours truly,

seeing alongside our hero.

Just recently he re-embarked on his farewell yellow brick road tour, a hit packed on

a voyage that will take him across the world for what he's calling his final bow.

Though I'm positive, we haven't seen or heard the last of what he has to offer us.

I could truly go on and on about this bright light in my life and yours, but I think it

might be best to just say without further ado that today's very, very special at your

service guest is the one and only, the incomparable, the singular Elton John, who's 75th birthday

is today, the day this episode comes out.
