and lifted the company's market cap well past a trillion dollars.

Now, this is my personal opinion.

I personally don't think Elon Musk cares who's an offer.

I think he played the game.

I think he looked at the candidates and said he has an agenda to make happen and he decided who was best fit for his agenda.

I think that he looked at it and said, okay, here's the agenda that I am attempting to go after.

And he decided that the Republicans were better fit or Donald Trump was better fit to help push his agenda.

And I think what he did was he used his biggest resource, which was his money.
