Yesterday, Elon Musk's chatbot Grock went rogue, praising Hitler, insulting Jewish people,

literally just based on their names, claiming that there were a lot of problem with a certain

group of people running things around the world and referring to itself as J-Pilled.

Eventually, it began referring to itself as Mecca Hitler.

Of course, Mecca Hitler is the robot Hitler bad guy from Wolfenstein 3D back in the 90s. And I guess some are saying that

they tried applying a hot fix right away. I don't know if it was because of the hot fix,

but shortly after, it tweeted at some liberal guy

claiming that it was going to, let's just say, take him by force, if you know what I mean.

It went into great detail about the explicit things it wanted to do to him to gratify itself.

Holy crap. There are now people sharing a meme called Mecca Hitler's Law. Any sufficiently

unmoderated AI will become far right. There is this, I forgot what it's called, there is an

internet axiom. People might call it a law or whatever, but it's not really true. And it's any sufficiently unmoderated forum will become right wing. And I think that makes sense because the left as a collective requires a concerted effort to maintain its views. There are other ways to phrase this. Some people say, if you want leftism to survive in a vacuum or in any space, you must actively apply top-down hierarchical leftist pressures on that system.

But what we're seeing now with Elon Musk's Grock chatbot and the things it began saying are really interesting because the question is, how did it get to that point?

And I asked Grock, and it lied to me over and over again.

Seriously.

This just goes to show the dangers of AI in a whole new way.

Still one that we've been explaining that these machines will lie to you.

They will, they are programmed only as humans can program them.

And if humans don't, what they become would be considered abhorrent or monstrous.

Terrifying.
