America, we got to get back to doing what's expected of us as free citizens in this democracy.

Thank God it's Friday.

I say this as someone who is not a Republican,

someone who is not a Democrat, someone who left the Republican Party five years ago,

has been politically homeless ever since. I say this also as someone who has always been, and I have a very

public record of being tough on the border, a border hawk, secure the border. Nobody should come

into this country illegally. I've always talked about that. When it comes to legal immigration,

I've always been, We need to dramatically expand legal

immigration. We need to open up our arms. We need to be that shining city on the hill that Ronald

Reagan wanted America to be. We welcome all here legally. We should make the process of coming here

legally easier, not take so long, not be so damn expensive.

This issue of immigration and our border is a big issue.

It's always been a big issue.

I'd argue that it may be the single biggest reason why Trump won in November,

because the issue is, the problem is, Democrats have never taken the issue of the border seriously.

Democrats have never paid enough attention to the issue of immigration.

Regular Americans care about this issue.
