We had that sliver of space where we're all standing in the same spot.

And so now we can talk about heat and we can talk about climate change.

And I'm not the enemy anymore.

I'm their friend and we're all experiencing the same thing.

And we had a great time and it was a wonderful relationship that went on for years.

And we developed some really great programs.

But it started with relating to them and meeting them where they are.

And that is the biggest lesson of my career with communities.

We have to meet people where they are.
