This has been a long year, and it is every ounce of strength I have in me to discuss another episode of a sitcom, much less one starring Ellen.

Hmm.

Much less the less famous one starring Ellen.

But here we are.

The less famous sitcom, the same famous Ellen.

Yes, the less famous sitcom starring the same famous Ellen.

I will promise to make this quick and painless like any Christmas celebration should be.

Here's how we got here.

Years ago, Matt Baum recommended that we cover Ellen's other sitcom,

which is something that people listening to this podcast may just now be realizing

as a thing that existed because it very much flew under the radar.

It is called The Ellen Show.

And it seemed like something interesting for us to cover one day. And he was right, but I could just never bring myself to like sit and watch Ellen's other sitcom because I have better things to do with my life. It turns out. Not much, but better than, better than Ellen's other sitcom. Apparently not because you did it. Well, here's the thing.

I wanted to cover, I didn't know what to do for the end of the year.

I wanted to cover a gay episode of something. And I didn't want to go back to Will and Grace because I think we've tapped that well. And I just can't muster the- We've tapped that Will. We've tapped that Will well. and I just can't muster the energy to hate on it anymore.
