Today, I wanted to talk about mountain lions.

I actually went on my first ever, maybe my last mountain lion hunt a couple weeks ago.

It's something that's been on my radar for several years.

I've been saving on the side because I knew I was

going to have to hire an outfitter or just get really lucky over in Washington on an incidental. I went to

Idaho, hired an outfitter. I'm going to explain how I made it happen for myself, what I did to

accomplish that hunt because I'm not a guy that can just go out and book a mountain lion hunt every year. This has been on my radar for several years and I wanted to do my part and help manage the predators. And the cat densities are super high, especially in North Idaho. So I'm going to bring on the guy that I hired and kind of interview him. The reason why I bring him on also is because he knows a lot about bear hunting. Spring bears coming up around the corner. He also guides elk, so we're going to get into some elk hunting tactics. He calls for all his clients and kills lots of bulls every year. So he's got a wealth of knowledge. He's a pretty young guy. He can definitely hike the mountains. As you're going to find out, he kicked my ass on the hills. And it's just a really cool episode. So a little different, but I really like it.
