Welcome to episode number two, we sit down with my good buddy Ryan Alltus of Ceour D'Alene, Idaho. Ryan fits the mold of who we want to interview on this podcast, he's blue collar, he hunts general tags and kills big bulls year after year. He's probably the most consistent herd bull killer I've met. Here are some of the topics we cover: Ryan's background, work, and how he got his start bowhunting elk. We get into some unsolicited advice on choosing the right woman to marry, especially when it comes to supporting your elk hunting addiction. We talk about hunting solo tactics and most importantly how to locate elk in a unit new to you. I'm like, Tyler, what's to deal with this Altus kid? He kills a lot of elk. And he hunts where I hunt and a lot of times I run into him.
1:44.7	Is he a good dude? And Tyler Denham vouched for. He's like, dude, Ryan Altsis is one of the best dudes I know. And I was like, crap, I can't hate him. All right. I better get to know him then. And then I think I reached out to you and then we kind of developed the friendship and finally We had a lot of like just common ground when it came to elk hunting and passion for being in the mountains and learned that you were a man of faith and just a hardworking firefighter and a guy who busts his ass every year to put yourself in position and get elk in the freezer and kill some pretty nice bowls as well.
