We're going on the fly here after Michigan's 90 to 77 win over Alabama in the Sweet 16.

Incredible win for the Wolverines. They're headed back to the Elite 8 for the first time since

2021, looking to get back to the final four for the first time since 2018. National Championship

is in their sights here. They've won three games now in the tournament by a combined 57 points.

So Michigan may be playing the six-seated volunteers on Sunday for a championship.

That'll be at 2.15 Eastern time.

But 90 to 77 in this one, Anthony, I guess let's go a little bit

chronological here with the first half where Alabama comes out hot. They hit a couple

threes early. Aidan Shirel, their big man hit two of them, two of their first three. And it felt like,

okay, this is going to be kind of tough for Michigan to guard this team,

especially with the big guys being stretched out to the perimeter. They cool off a little bit, but it was a hot first half, 9 of 24 from 3 at the break. Michigan able to score with them, only down two. They were down nine at one point early on, 11 to 2. But, you know, and they botched the end of the first half. Michigan did get some leads there in that first half. But I pulled you. I pulled Andrew Khan from M-Live. I pulled Tony Garcia from the Detroit Free Press. I said, is Michigan going to win this game at halftime? We all said yes. And the second half is magnificent. But what did you make of the first half? I mean, that first, you know, you go down 11 to 2 and you're like, wow, this is probably the worst case scenario just in terms of how this game could start it. You know, throughout the first half, it reminded me. And again, I joked. I said that Alabama was power four, power five Howard during the game. but it was a lot like that Howard game where even when Michigan was, I thought, defending decently on some of those three-point attempts, those guys are making

shots. And that's what their offense is built off of. So to me, wasn't totally surprised by the

firepower, by the pace. That was exactly what the scouting report was to a tee. Scouting report also is that

Alabama not so great defensively that Michigan was going to have a chance to get its offense
