This devotional address entitled,

Elements of Happiness, was given on February 22nd of 1977 by H. Burke Peterson,

then the second counselor in the presiding bishopric of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Good morning.

I think I'm glad to be here.

And I've been thinking a lot about it.

Last week after Bishop Clark was here, I asked him, how did he get along and how

did he feel about what went on?

He said, well, they gave me every chance to be a success, and if I wasn't, it wasn't

their fault.

And what with, as President Oaks has said, what with Engineering Week.

And my favorite people, of course, are women because I have five daughters and no sons,

then have them sing one of my favorite members.

Over the years, our daughters have learned to play several numbers on the piano that are kind of my favorites, so this is one of them.

And I've told them that those are the numbers I would like to have them play at my funeral.

And this may be it.

We've already had the first one.
