This week, how to think about geopolitical chaos.

Yeah. chaos. I don't know if it's a good thing, but I'm reading the news these days and it keeps reminding me of one of my favorite sci-fi novels, the three-body problem.

At the heart of that story is an alien world that oscillates between a stable era and a chaotic era.

No one can predict when it happens.

Here on Earth, it feels like we are entering one of those chaotic eras.

So, today on the show, I wanted to bring on a guest who thinks a lot about the chaos around

us and has, through the decades, advised world leaders and CEOs about how to manage in times

of chaos.

Gerald Butts is the chairman of the Eurasia Group, a political risk consultancy.
