There's been a lot of missing in action in this week's podcast. Where is the Scottish

government and the SNP when an energy supplier, Octopus, calls for zonal pricing that

would give Scotland the cheapest energy in Europe? They're kind of missing in action. We talk

about the latest proposals by Rachel Reeves, which looks like a bonfire of the regulations on the banking sector, which kind of prompted all the chaos post-2008.

Is that really going to be such a great advance?

Well, hi folks and welcome to this week's Leslie Ridder podcast. It's been a scorcher. How have you fared in the heat, Miss

Ruder? Well, I thought you were going to extrapolate there because, I mean, any, any

Scorchio we had here, you were Scorcio plus in Greece. Oh, we were definitely Scorcio,

Scotchio. I was quite, every morning you woke up to another bulletin from the Hellenic weather,

people saying, you know, be aware, do not die.

We're sick of people going up the, you know, passing on and passing out.

So, you know, behave yourselves.

And did you find it too much?

I've got to say, my ideas of all of this now, plus your actual kind of climate change and everything, you know, it just feels like going abroad like this and a ritualistic two weeks is kind of, you've got children which makes a difference right.

It is compulsory.

You know, when we were young, somebody's got to do this, right?

You know, we got hauled to Wick for two weeks.

And then a road junction in Bamfordshire for two weeks and that was our holidays and that probably shaped me because that you know you got to know Scotland extremely well I take it your wee ones are not so keen on four weeks in bute well they quite enjoy going to but certainly they're like running around, and they are immune to the cold.

I mean, my daughter, of course, can be in the sea, skipping, about and swimming, when everybody else is in well, he's in an iron jumper.

But, yeah, it was extremely hot.
