This week, Professor of History, Philip Haberkern joins me.

Philip is Professor of History at Boston University, MA at University of Virginia and Harvard

Divinity School, PhD at Virginia, Postdoc at Princeton, now at Boston University.

Phil and I both have a background in religious studies and made the shift to history, so

you get to hear us talk shop about that.

But of course, this is primarily a conversation about Tyrion and his exchange with the

unfortunately oblivious Lancel Lannister.

This was my very first conversation with Phil and sometimes you have these first conversations

and realize, oh, this guy is immediately a good friend.

That's kind of how I felt about my conversation with Phil.
