This week, Dr. Andrew Howe and I visit with Tyrion, King's Landing, to see how he's

faring in the Game of Thrones. Surprisingly, Andrew thinks that Tyrion may not

be doing as well as is commonly thought. After that, Jim and I discuss our

upcoming fantasy fantasy league and auction. All right, without further ado, here

is Dr. Andrew Howe. Andrew, when you are reading Tyrion, do you hear

Dinklage's voice? It's kind of unfortunate, but now that I do, I mean I can't

imagine anyone else in the role. Yeah. You know, I read the majority of

Tyrion's stuff before Dinklage, but Dinklage has occupied that role, I think,

maybe more successfully than any other cast member from the HBO show.

What do you feel about, I mean, clearly he's an amazing actor. How do you

feel about the accent? I guess it's never, never bothered me all that much.

And neither has it bothered me the fact that he doesn't really look like

Tyrion. You know, Tyrion having much lighter hair, Tyrion having the mismatched

eyes, which are very much focused on this in this chapter instantly. And also, I

think it would have been very, very distracting to have his nose missing, you

know, since the end of the second season, I think I'm glad that they gave him a

scar instead of, I mean, I think some things are better visual. Some things are

better read and other things are better visualized. I think the example, the sort

of the famous example of that is gladriel plucking three hairs from her head to

give to to Gimli, didn't translate well to to screen, you know, having this

beautiful elven cape blanchette reaching out and yanking, you know, tough
