It is the day after the Republicans got their rear ends handed to them.

As I sort of suspected, I hoped always that something would break in the other direction,

but it doesn't seem to have.

And so we'll do a quick analysis of what it all means

because you're going to hear a whole bunch of Democrats.

And I can only imagine what's going on Morning Joe this morning,

where they are going to claim this is a rebuke of Donald Trump.

This is a whatever. Well, not really.

Donald Trump wasn't on the ballot, and these are blue states. The hope that something

different would happen was always there and it was always real. And yeah, of course,

I hoped that it was, but did I really think it? No, I don't believe. I even hinted that it was

probable. I thought that the most likely opportunity for Republicans to sneak one of these past

the goalie was in New Jersey, and that was way wrong on that it wasn't even

close in New York City a mom jihadi he won handily although barely with a

majority at least as of now it's midnight he's got 50.4% of the vote which is next to nothing we'll see how

that shakes out he may well end up with under 50% of the vote which won't matter it will be a

definite minority of the vote but he will still won, but it'll be funny to watch

the Democrats demand that he has a mandate, because a lot of the power in New York City is

actually not vested in the mayor, the governor has the ability to override a lot of things and a lot of promises
