| 0:00.0 | Welcome to Breakpoint, a daily look, and an ever-changing culture through the lens of unchanging truth. |
| 0:05.4 | For the Colson Center, I'm John Stone Street. |
| 0:09.3 | The obvious choice for the top story of 2024 is, of course, the presidential election. |
| 0:13.9 | But it's also one of the top worldview stories of 2024. |
| 0:17.3 | That's not because a Christian worldview should ever be reduced to mere political loyalties. |
| 0:22.3 | No, a Christian vision of life in the world is certainly so much more than politics. |
| 0:27.0 | But it is not less. |

| 1:13.0 | And more recently, unlike his first term, several of President-elect Trump's cabinet picks are on record |
| 1:18.6 | as being both pro-abortion and for so-called same-sex marriage. |
| 1:24.1 | Even so, the trend of convictional Christians choosing to sit-out elections long predates this past one. |
| 1:31.8 | In fact, according to recent polling by George Barna, the most common reason given for not voting is just a lack of interest in politics and elections. |
| 1:40.0 | And half of all respondents report feeling like their one vote won't make a difference, |
