And it's a Trump back.

Donald Trump is just a handful of votes away from being re-elected as president of the USA.

He has won several of the battleground states and is projected

to win several more of them, although we might not know for certain for the next day or so. And that

leaves him on 266 votes in the electoral college. It leaves his Democrat rival Kamala Harris on

just 194. It seems that he's won big with black voters, Latino voters,

in the suburbs, amongst the young, in places where Joe Biden had done well in 2020,

and in places where he had done, where Donald Trump had done well in 2016.

It's really quite a miraculous political comeback.

Only one other president ever before has served two non-consecutive terms.

That was Grover Cleveland, and that was a long time ago.
