Hello, we thought the biggest most exciting thing that was going to happen in the election campaign

in the UK today was Rishisunak getting photo bombed by the Lib Dems Deputy Leader on a boat.

I mean that was still quite fun actually even as I say it out loud.

But then at 4 o'clock Nigel Farage, honorary president of Reform UK dropped a double bombshell.

He was going to take over as leader of Reform UK, elbowing out its previous leader of Richard Tice.

And not only that, he was going to stand for election

as a candidate in Clacton in the seaside in Essex.

So there's a two things Nigel Farage swore he would never do only a week ago and this has got

huge ramifications for what he does in the election campaign the amount of publicity reform UK are going to get in the election campaign

and also what the Conservatives are going to do in their election campaign because most of

what the Tories were doing last week was spewing out policies like the pensions triple lock and national service

being reintroduced to appeal to voters who had previously voted conservative but

we're thinking about going to reform UK.

So Rishi Sunak is probably going to have to do a whole load more of that, while also competing

for airtime with Nigel Farage, who is pretty good on TV and radio.
