Well, this was just a fantastic election day.

In most places, except with my friend Mike Zenege,

who did not win the mayorship of the city of Overland Park.

He came up 500 votes short against Kurt Skug.

We were at the watch party in Overland Park on Tuesday night, Jessica and myself around a

bunch of great conservative people. A lot of them volunteers. Some of them been in the business

for a long time. A lot of them friends of's. And it was just a tremendous group of people.

There were other candidates there. Derek Schmidt came by, who's going to be running for the

governor of the state of Kansas and spoke for a moment or two and met pretty much everyone there.

It was an honor to be invited to the event. We were privileged to be there. And I felt terrible for Mike.

I've never been to an event like that or a watch party like that on an election night.

And it's a sinking feeling when the candidate doesn't win.

You can see the hurt in their eyes.

There were a couple of other people who ran for local school boards or council members there that were victorious.

One did not.

And you could see the hurt in his eyes.

It was just a really, you know, difficult situation when somebody doesn't win.

There was high optimism at the mayor for Mike evening.

And I think everybody there believed he was going to win.
