the lines. So you don't have to Jill. It has been a remarkable 36 hours coming off of these midterms.

I saw you were out covering some of the races on Tuesday night. How is that? Well, I love an

election night. So I could not resist from some of my old work colleagues asked me to help

them out with coverage here on Long Island. I will say it's nice to use those skills again.

And there is something really nice about being out in the fields. Yeah, I was trying to

monitor it all from my Brooklyn, the Mo news Brooklyn headquarters. I was trying to, I was trying

to also pull up news day TV, which is what you're reporting for. But we'll talk more about some of

the things that we both observed from election night and so far what we can glean.

Okay, so here's what we're working on today of midterm status update. Russia retreats from

a key region in Ukraine, Facebook laying off thousands of workers, some cool technology that could

make drunk driving a thing of the past. And Jennifer Aniston opens up about her struggles with fertility.

All right, let's start the midterms. The big takeaway Republicans fell short of the red tsunami

or red wave expected ahead of election day. And I apologize for once again, just using that

worn out metaphor. Pick your favorite water metaphor. That's really what it is. It's crazy.

Let's start in the house, though. It was expected to be a blood bath. It appears that Republicans

likely won back the house. But as you mentioned on yesterday's podcast, they did not do that in a

commanding fashion. So which are the races that you're still watching? So the larger theme,

you know, to speak to more of the aqua metaphors, Jill. So there was the red wave, the red tsunami

that some were expecting. Then some said, well, I was more of a red ripple. Some are calling it a
