Ritchie Sunak is back on the campaign trail after last week's

D-Day fiasco and says he won't resign.

Your own ministers are being asked whether you might resign. Has that crossed your mind?

No, of course not. I'm energised about the vision that we're putting forward for the country.

This campaign is only not even halfway through yet.

And Nigel Farage rules out a merger of Reform UK and the Conservatives.

With me is Guardian columnist Zoe Williams. So if we could just start briefly by taking

look at events over the channel these extraordinary results from the European

elections. There have been big losses for parties on the centre ground in the European Parliament.

The left has held its position, but there have been really strong results for the right and far right parties.

Tell me a bit about what's happened.

Well, basically, your right say the left has held its place,

but most of the gains that have gone to the far right

have come from the Greens and Renew this is really serious but I mean you know at the moment the Greens

haven't even said much about it but it's caused absolute shock waves
