Hello and welcome to the special polling day edition of this election 24 series.

That's right, today is the day we all get to go out and vote unless you voted by post.

But if you haven't posted it yet,

you can walk it to a polling station.

Don't forget to take photo ID.

But my word, here we are.

And tomorrow, we will learn what government we have, what House of Commons we have, and how many of the people featured on this series will be taking their seats on the green benches.

but the election isn't over yet.

And today in this polling day bumper edition,

six candidates.

Not the 500 odd I needed, but nevertheless at the start of today's show, 523 candidates remained and by the end, 517.

So I made a sizable dent in that 650 number and I will find a way to hit 650.

I really will. The other side of this election I'm going to figure something out, but my word, what a way to enjoy the election and today,

oh my word, some fantastic political talent, but please keep sharing it,, talking about it.

Obviously the show continues after the election and I will keep covering politics in this

ways I have done for many, many years.

But I think I'm going to try and just interview every MP before the next election and give myself a bit more time, but that will still mean a highly regular service.
