0:21.4	Kentucky University. Today, in part seven of our election 2020 series, we'll be discussing
0:28.7	the vice presidential debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris,
0:33.7	which was held last night, Wednesday, October 7th. But before we get to that vice
0:39.6	presidential debate, I want to start us off with the outbreak of coronavirus in the Trump
0:44.8	administration. Now, this happened in the wake, of course, of the September 26th ceremony,
0:50.2	announcing the president's Supreme Court nominee, and a number of officials in attendance have contracted coronavirus.
0:57.6	President Trump's case was serious enough for him to spend several days in the hospital and also to receive supplemental oxygen and even an experimental non-FBA approved treatment.
1:09.5	It's also clear that far more prominent Republicans are contracting COVID than Democrats.
1:16.7	According to one sort of running tally I found of COVID-related positive politicians,
1:23.7	candidates, and government officials at the federal level, just over 72% have been Republicans.
1:30.4	So I want to start with that.
1:32.8	Is there a message or a lesson to take away from the sort of the White House outbreak,
1:37.9	the general greater tendency of Republican officials to get COVID or not?
