The first time since Game 4 of these playoffs, the Montreal Canadiens looked like how we thought the Montreal Canadiens would look.

Can we let him off the hook? Don't forget, they lost, they got demolished by Vegas in their first game, I think it was 4-1.

Oh, they certainly beat Tampa Bay, but I don't think the beat down was as pronounced as it was on the scoreboard.

Although the third period Tampa did seem to find another gear and go, all right, that's enough of this nonsense, because after the two nothing lead, Montreal gets one, and I thought they mounted some pressure.

There was that like Shay Weber partial break. How did they get a two on one with the two guys with busted hands? Brenda Gallagher to Shay Weber, I don't get it.

It's true, out, out, out. I know. It's like the worst possible jewel on one that team could have had.

But they got it, it was a scoring chance, and they come pretty close to tying it, and Tampa just said, nope, nope, that's enough.

From the moment the puck dropped in that game, it's nothing against Montreal, it's just everything we said last episode.

They have not played a team that's good. Yeah, well, and it's pretty tough to play a team as good as Tampa.

Of course, one team as good as Tampa. To the reigning champions, they're literally the team to beat.

I thought through the first seven or eight minutes, it was pretty like back and forth even, shots were even.

Montreal looked like they had some good forward checking pressure, although I mean, listen, the balance was in the favor of Tampa.

What I thought was interesting was the body language after that first goal went in.

Because you felt like Montreal to that point was really in it.

And then as soon as that goal goes in, they shoot a couple Montreal players faces, and it did seem, they seemed like, oh, no.

Because you know they're going to have trouble scoring goals already. They know that.

Was there a player in particular? I don't remember specifically. No, because I, you know, I have to remember it with that sort of thing.
