The New York Times reporting on a classified Biden administration effort to provide real-time battlefield intelligence,

including anticipated Russian troop movements, Russia's secret battle plan for Don Bass and locations for Russian mobile headquarters.

According to the Times, Ukrainian military officials are using that information and other intelligence to launch targeted strikes that have killed multiple senior Russian officers.

But American officials stressing to ABC News the US isn't providing intelligence on Russian generals specifically.

Yes, so as a dang interesting headline out of the New York Times suggesting that we're doing what you just heard there, providing intelligence to kill generals.

So a spokesman for the NSC, the National Security Council put out the statement after the New York Times headline came out.

The headline of the story is misleading and the way it is framed is irresponsible.

So the administration calling the New York Times are responsible.

The US provides battlefield intelligence to help the Ukrainians defend their country.

We do not provide intelligence with the intent to kill Russian generals.

There is a difference there.
