| 0:20.5 | A ka is actually the root word for the word how. Morning. In lamentations, I want to paint a picture. Jeremiah was just sent of many prophets that were speaking false prophecies. They were doing a lot of horrible things. And he was sent to Jerusalem because they were about to be in captive by the Babylonians. |
| 0:39.9 | So he was walking through Jerusalem and he was seeing how destroyed the city was. |
| 0:45.5 | And he was crying out with the heart posture of the Lord saying, how, how lonely the city is? |
| 0:52.4 | How lonely is where we get the word, Ak ka. How lonely? Some theologians and |
| 0:57.6 | scholars say that was actually the actual verbiage that God told Adam when he says, where are you? |
| 1:03.6 | Some argue that he said, how are you? Meaning how? I've given you everything. How could this have |
| 1:10.5 | happened? So Jeremiah is walking through |
| 1:12.8 | the city and he's writing in his journal and it's so noted that he would write lamentations in his |
| 1:19.0 | journal as he was lamenting, as he was mourning with the heart posture that God was hurt and |
| 1:24.9 | burdened for his beautiful city. |
| 1:31.0 | And so I'm laying a groundwork as we go into lamentations. |
| 1:35.6 | I want to paint this structure that you know the heartbeat of God and what was happening in this moment. |
| 1:38.2 | It was a moment of mourning. |
| 1:39.9 | It was a moment of lamenting. |
| 1:41.5 | It was a moment of hurt and crying out so that we could respond and he could restore. |
