Oh yeah, and I'm fairly confident that it's true.

I mean, it makes sense and also I can see where his advisors would have you know talked

to him out of it but Congress was you know gung the hoe at that point the the military

industrial complex basically emerged out of World War II.

We did not have a permanent arms industry before World War II and that's what happened.
