Today on Summit Life, Pastor J.D. Greer talks about the key to contentment.

According to Jesus, happiness is not a set of circumstances.

It's the fruit of a right relationship with God.

And the reason I say that is because most of us are in a culture where we think that our happiness

is directly proportionate to our circumstances.

Jesus said, your happiness, if you're ever going to find it, is not going to be contingent on your happenings. Your happiness is going to be contingent on your relationship

with God and living like me.

You see, Matthew chapter 5 opens up with a string of blessed R, blessed are the poor and spirit

and works through this list.

The Greek word for blessed is the word macarios, which comes from the word happy.
