For today's episode, our topic is the 8 of cups.

So let's begin.

I want to start out by saying that I have a very interesting

relationship with this card. Years ago I became fast friends with a woman with

whom I shared many interests, especially the metaphysical kind.

Naturally, I was excited about this friendship, so I did a reading on it.

And the Aida Cup showed up as the obstacle and I remember thinking

huh well what could that mean is she going to move or something else anyhow I

forgot all about it until about a year later when this woman betrayed me in the

worst possible way. I thought back to that 8 of cups and wondered if it was warning me to walk away.

So anyhow, years later, I began another friendship with a fellow tarot reader.

And she seemed sweet and trustworthy, you know, but because of my past experience with fellow mystical peeps,

I decided to do a tarot reading. And sure enough, this Ada Cups was in the obstacle position. You know the spread I was

doing in case you're curious is the horseshoe spread. Needless to say I was a

bit wary because of my previous experience with that other person. But I went in with

an open heart because she seemed nice and you guessed it. She betrayed me. So now when the

Aida Cup shows up for me in a relationship, it's my sign to run.

I'm not sure of the story to dog on the 8 of cups, because traditionally it's not always about walking away from someone,

but instead I'm sharing this story because sometimes cards can develop personal meanings for you and your readings alone.
