But the ancient Egyptians were fascinated with death.

When a new Pharaoh took office, he began building the tomb that would be his home in the next world.

And common people were just as concerned about their own afterlives as the Pharaoh,

because the Egyptian afterlife contained frightening experiences.

So what did the Egyptians believe happened to us in the afterlife?

What did people need to do to survive the afterlife?

And what happened to those who didn't?
