Tokyo Dome, a book that goes into deep detail on every single pro-res protesting event that's ever taken place in

Japan's most famous stadium. In this podcast we take a look at a different year in

Tokyo Dome history with a different guest each time.

This time we're looking at the year 2013 and joining me once more is John Pollack.

I'm back Chris it's been oh my goodness 13 years 20 no more than that like 20 years it's been 23 years since we last spoke after that great

1990 where the Tokyo Dome was thriving, Vince McMahon and

Baba were briefly on the same page and now here 2013. What a different era we have just jumped into? Yes indeed yeah lots of ups and downs happens in the meantime

Yes, new Japan went more downs than ups I would I would guess over over

this period I don't know I don't know I don't know maybe immediately prior to this

period there were a fair few downs but there were a lot of

that in the in the 20-year interim but the 90s were the 90s were very kind

yes I guess you can juxtapose to two decades there was a lot to

glean from that 23 year period. Sure sure the the z half of the series were a little bit harsh but now we were pulling out of things

here and this was like the first year since Bushi Road took over so like that was right

after the the last episode the last

rest of the kingdom show and so you're starting to see things have a positive effect

I guess and and business start to turn around and it's very much I think now you know if you

were looking back you would see a show that's broadly familiar you know I don't think

there's anything that really makes you scratch your head and go,

what, except for perhaps like our opening match on this card with Bob sap and Acubono in it,
