Summary

The woos and wows of Metabolic Flexibility are no longer a secret! Join Chase on this episode of the Ever Forward Radio as he interviews former research biochemist and two-times New York times best-selling author of The Paleo Solution and Wired to Eat, Robb Wolf. He is also the host of the Healthy Rebellion Radio, a weekly show featuring listener Q and A on all things diet and health, and serves on the board of Directors/Advisors for Specialty Health Inc, The Chickasaw Nation’s “Unconquered Life” initiative and a number of innovative start ups with a focus on health and sustainability.

Robb simplifies anybody's understanding of fitness and health by discussing everything from individual body responses to quantity of carbs taken to a lot of other essentials like maintaining electrolyte balance in the body and having sound sleep. Tune in for you to also get a peek into Robb's personal life and learn from him his extensive understanding of health and fitness!

Rob broke the dogma around KETO diets and dove deeper into individual metabolic flexibilities, catering to people’s nutrition needs suitably. Apparently Robbs wife has great metabolic flexibility and he understands from her how different it could be for every person as he says his physical self 'sucks' at the same.

The fact that some of us are over-doing our fitness practices is also something to take a look at. There's a lot that needs to be thought of other than the social media pleasing and planning!

Listen in as the duo also discuss rehydration, recovery and the function of different electrolytes in the body. You'd be surprised to know that you are totally unlikely to die because of consuming less amount of water and the fact that over-consuming the same could have a disastrous impact on your body. Also, sodium is one constituent you undervalue and demonize. Why? Because over-consumption of sodium could perhaps spare you from life threatening illnesses. But when the same is done with Potassium, another bodily electrolyte, the implications are costlier than you can imagine!

Rob also has a thing with reading and researching topics other than health and nutrition, like economics and physics. It helps him increase the quality of living and growing as a person. And it would sure help you widen your knowledge levels and perhaps give you some time off of your routine work habits!

To conclude, what this episode translates to is simple- metabolic flexibility is real and it’s high time you break the myths around the ‘perfect’ diet because a happy you is a healthy you!
