Summary
With eight games to go time is running out for teams who want to climb out of relegation or into automatic or play off contention. So who is best placed?
Southampton are on an incredible run and followed up wins over Fulham and Coventry by beating norwich to break into the play offs, Middlesbrough stalled again at home and West Brom turned a corner with an eye catching win over play off hopefuls Hull City..
In League One Lincoln and Cardiff are all but up, whereas the playoffs are wide open, as far down as Barnsley in 12th place. At the bottom a vital win for Blackpool and managerial changes elsewhere.
League Two sees Oldham on a charge a fifth manager for Barrow...but it's not Gregor Robertson.
Producer Neil Cartmell joins Gregor Robertson for all the latest from the football League.

Congratulations. Heartful congratulations. Life has changed, Tom. He did say to us that he'd be listening to this at 3am. We've both got kids. Do we believe him? I mean, you won't know the concept of time anymore. Yes, that is absolutely. Greg has got two, so he knows. Yeah, so anyway, we're wishing well. As ever, loads to get into. Let's start in the championship. We probably should start with what for us, |

| 1:08.4 | they've been the team that we've kind of on the show, |
| 1:11.8 | the teams that we've spoken about, if they click, then they're going to be a force, |
| 1:16.5 | they're going to be ominous. And it's happened with Southampton. |
| 1:19.7 | Ipswich haven't really still done it, but they're still on the verge of automatic. |
| 1:23.6 | So that's the way, as we said from from the start, if you're a team with parachute |
| 1:28.9 | payments and have the money that they had to spend in the summer or to retain the squad, |
| 1:33.8 | then they've got a huge advantage. And since Don De Eckhart has come in, the turn around |
| 1:40.0 | has been absolutely remarkable. He's won 14 of his 25 league games, climbed from 21st to 6th. |
| 1:46.5 | I think that's since November, |
| 1:48.2 | including a kind of, |
