What is normally the Monday pod is now a Tuesday, late afternoon podcast.

On the line with me, as ever, is George Ehrlich.

And this can only be described as a reaction style podcast. Today,

of course, was the day of decisions in the EFL, a truly historic day and a fairly unprecedented

one in English football and within the EFL as well. Exceptional circumstances and exceptional

outcomes as well.

I must admit, George, despite the seriousness of what happened today and what the clubs were voting on,

I did laugh at the phrase, extraordinary general meeting, the EGM, and it stands for extraordinary general meeting.

Of course, that is a, you know, it's a fairly standard corporate

phrase, I think, but you don't often see it in football, but these certainly are

extraordinary times. How do I find you this afternoon, George Ehrlich?

Pretty relieved that it's coming to an end, I think. But my two main thoughts are, I can't believe

that three months ago I did a BBC Radio

five live show talking about what's going to happen in League 1 and League 2 around coronavirus.

And this evening, you know, just under three months later, just under 12 weeks later, I'm doing

a five live show talking about what's happened.

If you told me back on that first day,

it was going to take that long to get here.

Yeah, I'm just pretty happy that we've come to some kind of a conclusion.
