| 0:52.0 | Yesterday I spent nearly my whole program just trying to talk about how important it is that we change. |
| 0:59.0 | Another way you could say this is that we grow. We can't just say static. There is no such thing as just maintaining. |
| 1:09.0 | You're either going forward in God or you're losing ground, one of the two. You can't just be static. You've got to be moving, you've got to change. |
| 1:19.0 | And with most people, change is a painful experience. It takes a tremendous amount of effort. |
| 1:26.0 | And they resist change. I've meant lots of people who were living in negative circumstances and yet they had become accustomed to it. |
| 1:35.0 | And even though they were miserable, they resisted change. |
| 1:42.0 | I'm thinking of this example of these lepers over in Second Kings, chapter 4. |
| 1:48.0 | And this is when Samaria was being surrounded by the Syrians. They had completely isolated. It was a siege. |
| 1:58.0 | And the town of Samaria was in such famine that they were taking animal dung and selling it for food for exorbitant prices. |
| 2:10.0 | Actually, there was a story there in Second Kings chapter 4 about a woman who had killed her child and eaten it. |
| 2:18.0 | They were reverted to cannibalism. It was a severe situation. |
| 2:22.0 | And there are these four lepers that were sitting outside of the gate and they wouldn't let them into the city because they were lepers. |
| 2:29.0 | So they were on the outside of the gate and they were cut off and they were starving. |
| 2:33.0 | And finally, these lepers just came to the conclusion. They said, how long are we going to sit here until we die? |
