Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Yesterday I started a series teaching on effortless change. I know that sounds impossible, but God says with him all things are possible.

I've got this book entitled Effortless Change in English and in Spanish. I've also got a study guide, CDs, and DVDs.

And I encourage you to get these products. This is one of the most transformational things that the Lord ever showed me.

Yesterday I spent nearly my whole program just trying to talk about how important it is that we change.

Another way you could say this is that we grow. We can't just say static. There is no such thing as just maintaining.

You're either going forward in God or you're losing ground, one of the two. You can't just be static. You've got to be moving, you've got to change.

And with most people, change is a painful experience. It takes a tremendous amount of effort.

And they resist change. I've meant lots of people who were living in negative circumstances and yet they had become accustomed to it.

And even though they were miserable, they resisted change.

I'm thinking of this example of these lepers over in Second Kings, chapter 4.

And this is when Samaria was being surrounded by the Syrians. They had completely isolated. It was a siege.

And the town of Samaria was in such famine that they were taking animal dung and selling it for food for exorbitant prices.

Actually, there was a story there in Second Kings chapter 4 about a woman who had killed her child and eaten it.

They were reverted to cannibalism. It was a severe situation.

And there are these four lepers that were sitting outside of the gate and they wouldn't let them into the city because they were lepers.

So they were on the outside of the gate and they were cut off and they were starving.

And finally, these lepers just came to the conclusion. They said, how long are we going to sit here until we die?
