Welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm beginning my third week of teaching on effortless change.

That's a teaching that I have. I have this book on this. I have study guides. I have CDs, DVDs.

And as I've said many times during this series, this is one of the most basic fundamental teachings that I have.

And I've already covered a lot of material so I haven't got time to go back and rehearse all of that.

But just quickly let me mention that I've spent most of the time teaching on the parables from Mark chapter 4.

I first of all dealt with the parable where the man just throws the seed in the ground and he sleeps and rises night and day.

And it springs and grows up of itself.

And that phrase of itself is from the Greek word automatos, which means automatically. It's where we get automatic and automatically from.

The word of God is a seed. And in the same way that you plan a seed in the ground and if you'll just give it time and the nourishment that it needs,

it just automatically brings forth.

Or what I'm discussing and I've titled this book, it effortlessly happens.

You've never seen a tree, moan and scream and yell and then boom, here's a piece of fruit.

No, it just happens automatically, naturally.

The reason that change is so hard for most people is because they don't go about it God's way.

They don't plant the seed of God's word but they pray, they will fast, they will beg, they will get other people's to pray.

They will go to seminars, they'll do everything except plant the word of God in their heart.

...
