interesting question. Yeah, all right. So right now, though, before we before the hot-up talks to him,

though, we're going to talk to Dan Volmar, who wrote the Angels essay in the BP Annual. Dan is a

frequent contributor to Halo's Heaven. He is also a grad student at a private research university

in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one of them. I'm going to mention which one I was. The bigger one.

I'm not going to say which one. But the bigger one. The one you've heard of more. All right, Dan,

how are you? I'm doing good. So we're going to talk about the Angels a year ago. It was I think

pretty, pretty much accepted that if the Angels didn't make the playoffs, either Jerry DePoto or

Mike Socia would not be coming back. They did make the playoffs. They had a very good year.

Everybody performed well. It was successful up until they ran into the royals in the ALDS,

but successful nonetheless. How many wins do they need this year for neither of them to be fired?

And if they don't reach that threshold, which one is more likely to be fired? I'm not sure if

wins are the gold standard for measuring the performance this year, particularly because of the

the amount of postseason frustrations that the Angels have seen over the last decade or so. It seems

that if they make the playoffs with the 89-win team but get blown out and lose a wildcard game or

get blown out in the ALDS again, I could see that being that considered a disappointing outcome

and one that would potentially put either Socia or DePoto depending on the Arty Marinos,

mood and the potential hot seat. Where the Wobbly Chair and so on. The Wobbly Chair and my Puzz.
