Today we continue our season preview series.

editor from Sports on Earth, who wrote the Metz chapter for the Baseball Prospectus

Annual, which made her the logical choice for the Yankees season preview podcast, because

those are basically the same things, right?

More or less Metz Yankees?

Very similar, no differences at all, really.

Yeah.

So I think one of our first podcasts of this off-season Sam and I talked about what the

Yankees would do or what they should do or what they possibly could do to be competitive

in 2014.

And my recommendation was that they sign all the good players.

And then we talked a bit about whether they would actually adhere to the fabled $189

million luxury tax revenue spending limit.

And as it turns out, we more or less wasted our time every time we ever talked about that.

And you wrote about that after they, I guess, after they officially went over.

So what is the takeaway from the whole 189 thing where we silly to ever talk about it?

Well, they kept talking about it.
