You started off our last podcast by asking me how I was and then I went on a qualified defense of the athletics proposed Las Vegas ballpark but really I

should have asked you how you were because Mike Xenino announced his retirement.

Yeah.

How are you holding up as a long time Zunino head?

I'm holding up just fine.

I'll have you know. I suspect that we have not seen the last of Mike

Xenino in baseball I mean not as a player obviously in that regard he is done

but and I'm not just saying this because he's a catcher although boy you know we sure say this about

catcher's a lot like you know he seems like a baseball head he comes from a baseball family his dad was a

scout for a long long, might still be a scout.

And so I suspect that he will pop up in some coaching, managerial capacity potentially.

Brian Divish always spoke very highly of him

as like a pro and a guy who was comfortable assuming a leadership role

had a nice way about him. So I imagine that this is merely the conclusion of a particular chapter.

It's funny, like he is one of those players who was definitely more important in my estimation than he necessarily was like really good.

Why was that for anyone who doesn't know the origins of your fondness for Zino?
